Steve Rollin, Director of Research & Evaluation
Dr. Steve Rollin is the former Dean and current Professor Emeritus at Florida State University, a licensed psychologist, and the chairmen of the American Psychological Association's Coalition for Psychology in Schools. He is the former editor of the Journal of School Choice, and currently serves on the editorial board.
Dr. Rollin leads the development and implementation of EPPC’s research program. Rollin designs and conducts studies to inform EPPC audiences and conduct program evaluations. He oversees EPPC in the collection and analysis of data, generating academically sound research on pertinent issues, and by recommending the findings to opinion leaders, policymakers, the media and general public. Dr. Rollin takes the lead responsibility for writing research reports, evaluation designs on grant proposals, case studies, policy briefs, journal articles, and related documents. Dr. Rollin makes presentations to a variety of external audiences on behalf of EPPC Global Management.
Dr. Rollin has received more than 30 grants to research topics. Additionally, Dr. Rollin has published more than 30 pieces in peer-reviewed publications. Highly published, Dr. Rollin has presented at more than 90 conferences, including those in Australia, Botswana, Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, New Zealand and Venezuela. Rollin received his EdD. in Counseling from the University of Massachusetts, his M.S. in Counseling and Guidance from Indiana University and his B.S. in History from the University of Illinois.
Dr. Rollin has also served as a consultant to the DARE Foundation of New Zealand and New Zealand Police and a US AID Consultant in Indonesia and Botswana. He was selected to serve at the United States Department of Education, What Works Clearing House of the Institute for Educational Sciences, and is a member of the American Educational Research Association.
Dr. Rollin resides in Tallahassee, Florida with his wife Mary Apple, a noted artist and teacher.
