Government Relations & Issue Advocacy

EPPC is non-partisan, and is not affiliated with any political party.  EPPC works with agencies, elected officials and policymakers to develop market-oriented, performance-based solutions that make government more transparent and accountable.  We can assist faith and community based clients in developing and implementing cost-effective, comprehensive strategies to resolve complex legislative, legal and regulatory problems. In addition, our staff has expertise in and regularly advocates on a wide array of policy issues, including character and ethic issues. 

EPPC is knowledgeable in the issues, procedures, and advocacy strategies that are important to faith and community based organizations with matters under consideration by national, state, and local policymakers.  EPPC has vast experience representing institutions, organizations and companies of including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations and associations before government agencies, and state and local government bodies. We regularly assist faith and community based organizations in developing and implementing cost-effective, comprehensive strategies to resolve complex legislative and regulatory problems. EPPC has the expertise, creativity, resources, procedural know-how, credibility, and proven success essential in addressing and resolving the Legislative and Executive Branch advocacy.

In the federal, state and local arena EPPC has:

  • monitored proposed legislation to identify bills affecting specific interest;
  • as well as the progress of specific legislation;
  • prepared issue advocacy materials on a wide array of issues; and
  • provide testimony on these issues impacting faith and community based organizations.   

EPPC has developed a network of legislative advocates to represent faith and community organization’s interests when a local presence is needed.  We can help identify the appropriate individual or group that can advise clients throughout all phases of the federal/state legislative process, including:

  • conducting effective lobbying campaigns,
  • drafting new legislation, intervening directly in the state legislative process through hearing testimony and meetings with state legislators, and
  • shepherding legislation to enactment;
  • monitor proposed legislation to identify state bills affecting client interests, as well as the progress of specific legislation;
  • prepare lobbying materials, including legal memoranda on state law issues, summaries for use when communicating with legislators, testimony for hearings, and amendments to legislation.

Every day, citizens and government officials form opinions that impact public policy.   We assist businesses and not-for-profits in shaping these opinions by mobilizing consumers, constituents and voters.  In the landscape of needs, the importance of collaboration and engagement of members in the academic community, organizations, industry, government and individuals, have allowed us to effectively focus on the:

  • Prioritization of humanitarian issues and needs. 
  • Promotion of volunteerism. 
  • Development of educational resources. 
  • Encouragement of collaboration among governmental, intergovernmental agencies and private sector entities. 
  • Facilitation of information transfer for public use.
